Flame cutting has a large amount of energy and can also handle material thickness in the event of other process failures. But afterwards, the workpiece needs to undergo correct precision machining.
Flame cutting or torch cutting usually refers to self flame cutting or oxyacetylene cutting. During this process, the cutting torch heats the steel through a flame until it reaches the ignition temperature. With the addition of oxygen, the steel burns, and the heat generated during the combustion process in turn heats the underlying material to the ignition temperature. This allows the process to continue automatically, even in deeper material layers. The iron oxide produced by combustion becomes thinner and is blown out of the joint together with cutting oxygen.
